COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN CONSULTANT
BACKGROUND:
The ITC-GRASP aims to raise
awareness and comprehension of the business registration procedure among
Pakistan's potential entrepreneurs. To do this, we plan to conduct a thorough
communication campaign that will educate the target demographic about the benefits
and procedures of company registration, as detailed in our training handbook.
The primary goal of this assignment is to create and successfully implement a
communication campaign to supplement ITC-GRASP's training drive, as well as to
train entrepreneurs and business owners who want to start a business in
Pakistan or restructure an existing one.
OBJECTIVES:
Create simpler versions of all five training modules.
Raise understanding of various business structures, such as sole
proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability partnerships, private limited
companies, and public limited companies.
Increase awareness about the need of company registration.
Encourage entrepreneurs to formalize their enterprises with correct
registration.
Improve your grasp of the many business models accessible in Pakistan.
Provide entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions
about which structure is best for their firm.
Create simple short movies of the five training modules to supplement the
training drive.
Create digital material for social media in partnership with
the communication team.
Create Urdu and Sindhi pamphlets, brochures, and flyers for the five modules to
improve understanding and uptake of the training material.
Produce the training handbook in Urdu so that participants can readily grasp
different business models, and guarantee that the manual serves as a living
document from which other entrepreneurs who are not part of the training drive
can benefit.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES.
The consultant is required to create communication and knowledge content. More
specifically, to create promotional materials that will be produced and
disseminated for public understanding across different platforms and
communication channels. The specifications for content productions are as
follows.
The consultant will be responsible for creating Urdu and
Sindhi versions of brochures, handouts, and booklets. He must focus on content
translation and localization, accurately translating training materials from
English to Urdu and Sindhi. This procedure entails not just changing the
language but also tailoring the material to cultural and regional tones while
retaining the original meaning and intent.
The consultant will rigorously evaluate and proofread the translated materials
to guarantee accuracy and consistency. He will ensure that technical phrases
and business jargon are correctly translated, making the documents professional
and understandable.
The consultant will be in charge of designing Urdu and
Sindhi versions of brochures, handouts, and booklets. He must concentrate on
content translation and localization, precisely translating training materials
from English into Urdu and Sindhi. This technique requires not just modifying the
language, but also adapting the material to cultural and regional tones while
maintaining the original meaning and intent.
The consultant will extensively analyze and proofread the translated materials
to ensure their accuracy and consistency. He will guarantee that technical
terms and business jargon are properly translated, making the materials more
professional and understandable.
Record and edit narration/voice over as appropriate, following the instructions
of the communications professional.
Add subtitles to the video if needed.
The final product is audio balanced and converted into formats suitable for use
on television, radio, the internet, and social media.
Clearly indicate the respondents' names, titles, and organizations, as well as
any other pertinent information.
Save the altered output to an external hard disk.
If necessary, the consultant should guarantee that photo documentation
successfully captures and emotionally expresses the main features of the
situation being covered, as well as the capture of action-oriented photographs.
The coverage should encompass various visual viewpoints (close-up, medium
range, and long distance), with a focus on portrait framing.
Photos must be technically sound (well exposed, framed, focussed, and edits
effectively optimized).
Expected outputs and deliverables:
Specific deliverables of the Communications and Visibility Consultant:
Deliverable #1:
Inception Report outlining overarching strategy and methods for ensuring timely
completion of all deliverables.
Deliverable #2:
Translate and develop the Urdu version of the training manual.

Create communications materials in the form of booklets, brochures, flyers, and
posters for all five modules. The communications material will include detailed
information on training modules. The communications content will be reviewed
and amended by all parties concerned.
Training modules are available in English, Urdu, and Sindhi.
Draft and design 15 brochures.
Draft and design 15 flyers/handouts.
Draft and design fifteen briefs.
Draft and design 15 booklets.
Write and publish five English articles in national and regional newspapers.
Write and publish five Urdu articles in national and regional newspapers.
Write and secure the publication of five Sindhi articles in regional newspapers
Development of FAQs for 5 modules in English.
Development of FAQs for 5 modules in Urdu.
Development of FAQs for five modules in Sindhi
The consultant will collaborate closely with the
communications specialist and impact reporting consultant. The consultant will
report directly to the communications specialist on a daily basis.
Work duration is six months from the start date.
DUTY STATION: The consultant will operate remotely
and may occasionally be stationed at ITC-GRASP Islamabad.
COMPETENCIES:
Video Production:
Videography requires camera operation proficiency as well as a mastery of
framing, lighting, and shot composition.
Editing: Proficiency
in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) for
creating and refining video content.
Sound Design:
Ability to record and edit sounds to ensure clarity and quality, including
background music and voiceovers.
Graphic
Design:
Design Software: Experience with visual content creation tools such as
CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Layout and Composition: Understanding the ideas of arranging text and graphics
in an appealing and effective manner.

Development:
Scriptwriting:
The ability to create concise, interesting, and informative scripts for video material.
Storyboarding involves generating visual representations of how a video will
unfold, scene by scene.
Copywriting is creating short and effective language for a variety of IEC
materials, including brochures, posters, and flyers.
Article writing: Excellent article writing skills
with a track record of publishing articles in Urdu and English newspapers.
