Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO) was established as a non-profit organisation on May 29, 2003, and is registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act of 2017 (formerly known as the Companies Ordinance of 1984). The Sindh government funds SRSO to function in certain areas throughout the province. The government has endorsed this policy to achieve poverty reduction goals through community empowerment, skill enhancement, capacity building, and the development of community-supported infrastructure projects, as well as support for income generation, enterprise development, and microcredit. For this objective, SRSO organises local communities and builds their management and technical capabilities. People and the government are assisted in forming partnerships and instilling a sense of ownership in the people. SRSO is currently tasked with establishing a network of community organisations at the grassroots level across Sindh province, and it works in the following sub-sectors while implementing the participatory development strategy of sustainable development goals.  

The mandate of an SRSO is to reduce poverty by empowering people in their communities to help themselves and engage in development initiatives.

Starting date Tentative: 

Tentatively the assessment will be started by 10 September 2024.

Six districts; Khairpur, Sanghar, Badin, Thatto, Umarkot and Mirpurkhas 

Duration: 

Two months right after the signing of the agreement 

Firm/Institution 

The needed firms are anticipated to be experts in assessing development projects, particularly those aimed at alleviating poverty. The firms have at least 5 years of relevant experience. The firm should be registered and have an NTN number. All taxes will be applicable as per the government's regulations and rules.. 

Requirements: 

Interested companies should submit:  

 

1) A proposal for conducting this comprehensive study on the strategy and impact of the People's Poverty Reduction Programme's Community Investment Fund (CIF) on disadvantaged households.  

2) Brief introduction to the firm.  

3) A written sample of past similar work.

Objectives of the study assessment 

The overarching objective of this study is 

To analyse the CIF component's success in meeting its objectives and contributing to the overall impact of the programme, with the goal of documenting learnings for wider dissemination and accountability of program stakeholders. 

Total Outreach 

PPRP programme is in its fifth year of implementation Summary of the progress of CIF is given in Table. The sample size must be taken up to 10% of total outreach of second cycle of the beneficiaries mentioned in below given table.
