POSITION SUMMARY:
The advocate plays a crucial role inside the organisation as the public face of the company and, often, as the first point of contact for any beneficiary seeking legal guidance and services linked to legal aid. The advocate will take on court cases and handle them in a way that best represents the interests of the client they are representing. He or she is supposed to work assiduously, genuinely, and conscientiously in order to further the objective of increasing access to justice. The position will conduct regular field and jail visits under the section head's guidance and supervision. It will also be responsible for maintaining daily diaries and records as well as quarterly, monthly, and bimonthly updates on the status of the cases. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The advocate will be responsible for performing the following duties but shall not be limited to:
Following litigation check-lists to ensure that all relevant information is provided correctly and retained for cases involving gender-based violence,
Interview customers to find out about their needs and get relevant data.
Plan your clients' everyday activities and give them updates.
updating the data in the CMS.
conversing with the LAS stakeholders.
preserving the case files' organisation and updates.
assiduously pursuing cases before tribunals and courts every day.
draughting any court-related documents, such as petitions, affidavits, written statements, applications, and pleadings.
conducting research.
guaranteeing compliance with Chapter III of the Litigation Department's internal bylaws of the Legal Aid Society.

REQUIREMENTS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
LLB from a college that has received Higher Education Commission (HEC) accreditation.
enrolled in the Advocate program of the High Court.
adequate familiarity with Pakistani legal systems and legislation.
capable of managing legal research, draughting, and judicial proceedings.
For draughting apps, Microsoft Word proficiency is necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed for monthly and quarterly reporting.
Advanced level English appropriate for writing, reading, and producing a range of reports. competence in Sindhi and Urdu.
lively, creative, and capable of functioning on their own without much direction.
