Purpose   

The project officer is responsible for serving as the point of contact for all Physical Rehabilitation Programme (PRP)-related issues in KP and the combined region, both internally at the Peshawar sub-Delegation and externally with various partners. In addition, s/he will assist in managing and carrying out administrative duties related to PRP operations in the Peshawar area of responsibility while adhering to the ICRC's and PRP's agenda items. He or she will assist in carrying out all physical rehabilitation activities in compliance with the goals and strategies that have been established, especially with regard to enhancing the calibre and availability of orthotic and prosthetic services in Pakistan. He or she is a part of an interdisciplinary technical support team that guarantees a people-centered approach in the centres funded by the ICRC and offers the technical assistance required so the partner may provide high-quality 

 Main Responsibilities: 

overseeing PRP operations at the sub-delegation level, making sure that projects are implemented on schedule, and speaking on behalf of PRP at meetings both inside and outside the organisation. It entails keeping an eye on and organising field excursions, networking with stakeholders, arranging PRP team activities and making sure accurate financial tracking and reporting are done. In order to accomplish program objectives, the role also entails managing social inclusion initiatives and preserving partnerships.  

ensuring the application of best practices and quality standards in physical rehabilitation services by providing mentorship to the clinical staff and partners. The strategy prioritises a multidisciplinary approach, quality assurance, and the creation of a care continuum that spans from the first patient interaction to the provision of vocational support following rehabilitation. Creating work schedules, giving frequent feedback, encouraging lifelong learning, and advocating for health are also important aspects of rehabilitation.

Main Requirements: 

Orthoprosthetics degree from university; project management or public health experience is a big plus.  

At least two of the five years must have been spent practicing a broad field of orthopaedics. 

Strong assets include experience working in multicultural or low-resource environments, with multinational NGOs, and with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.  

Teaching expertise and/or experience are advantages.  

It is preferred to have a thorough understanding of the KPK and the recently united Districts.  

good familiarity with ICRC-relevant groups and local health authorities.  

Working in a multidisciplinary team prior experience is advantageous.  

demonstrated abilities in team building and program management.  

outstanding report-writing and analytical abilities.  

proficiency with computers (such as Microsoft Office).
