HDF has worked in 05 initiatives to address the needs of Pakistan's marginalised communities, with a holistic approach that includes Social Capital Development, Education & Literacy, Primary Health Care, Economic Development, and Sustainable Environment. HDF has been working in 40 districts throughout Pakistan.
HDF requires Edge Expert Services for one of its projects and is happy to exchange TORs in this regard. All interested firms/individuals are requested to submit their financial proposals in accordance with the submission details provided in the document.
TORs for EDGE Expert:
Key Responsibilities:
EDGE Assessment and Certification:
Conduct comprehensive EDGE assessments for Project Mother and Child Centre, Khairpur, Sindh in accordance with EDGE standards. Refer to Annex-A
Examine building design and construction plans to find areas for energy, water, and material efficiency.
Create and implement plans for achieving EDGE certification targets.
Create detailed reports and documentation for EDGE certification submissions.
Liaise with the EDGE certification body and address any questions or issues.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical expertise in sustainable building design and construction principles, such as energy efficiency, water conservation, and material selection.
Stay up to date on the latest developments and best practices in EDGE standards and green building technologies.
Develop and deploy new solutions to meet the EDGE certification standards.
Training and Capacity Building:
Project stakeholders should be trained in EDGE standards and sustainable building practices through workshops and seminars.
Mentor and coach project team members through the EDGE implementation and certification processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a similar discipline.
A minimum of five years' experience in sustainable building design and construction.
Proven experience administering EDGE tests and obtaining certification.
A thorough understanding of EDGE standards and certification requirements.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency with essential software applications, including AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modelling software.
Deliverables:
EDGE assessment reports, certification submissions, training materials, etc.
Reporting:
weekly reports, monthly progress updates
Evaluation:
Achievement of EDGE certification, timely completion of deliverables
TORs for EDGE Auditor:
Key Responsibilities:
EDGE Audit Execution:
Conduct on-site audits of the project, Mother and Child Centre in Khairpur, Sindh, in compliance with EDGE standards. Refer to Annex-A for compliance with EDGE standards.
Review and verify all EDGE certification documents, including design plans, construction specifications, and performance data.
Evaluate the implementation of energy, water, and material efficiency measures in compliance with EDGE standards.
Identify and document any discrepancies or non-conformities to EDGE requirements in a complete audit report.
Make recommendations for corrective measures to rectify any identified nonconformances.
Technical Expertise:
Have a thorough understanding of EDGE standards and certification requirements.
Learn about sustainable building design and construction principles, such as energy efficiency, water conservation, and material selection.
Have expertise reading and understanding technical paperwork for building design and construction.
Communication and Reporting:
Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Prepare detailed audit reports that clearly document the audit results.
Provide project teams with constructive criticism and recommendations to help them improve their EDGE compliance.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the quality and integrity of the EDGE audit process.
Maintain confidentiality of all project information.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards in conducting audits.
